Senior Embedded Software Engineer – £65k – Rickmansworth or Hereford

My client is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their exciting new team.

The role will suit someone with a good knowledge of embedded software using the C programming language and communications. A keen interest in and knowledge of the associated hardware would be most advantageous.

The main skills needed for Senior Embedded Software Engineer in this role are:

• Real Time embedded C programming
• Modern embedded software practice (Bare Metal)
• Networking experience in TCP/IP, UDP
• Driver interfacing to SPI, I2C, RS485, CAN 
•  LINUX
• JavaScript (Node.JS, Ajax),
• HTML5, CSS
• Yocto
• Agile methodology

Experience in the following would be advantageous:

• Python
• Microchip PIC18/32
• SNMP
• FPGA / CPLD (Verilog/VHDL)
• Ability to read schematics
• Hardware and board level debug
• Cyber security of embedded systems
