Senior Embedded Software Engineer – £60k – Watford

My client is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their exciting team who are global leaders in all RF Distribution and Satellite communications

The role will suit someone with a good knowledge of embedded software using the C programming language and communications. A keen interest in and knowledge of the associated hardware would be most advantageous.

The main skills needed for Senior Embedded Software Engineer in this role are:

• Bare metal and Linux multithread embedded C programming / debugging
• Linux and bare metal driver interfacing to SPI, I2C, RS232/485, CAN
• Hardware and board level debug
• Microchip PIC18/32 or similar
• HTML, JavaScript
• Networking experience in TCP/IP, UDP

Experience in the following would be advantageous:

• C#, C++
• SNMP
• js, bash, Python, Perl
• Yocto / Buildroot
• Jenkins
• Automated test
• Cyber security of embedded systems
