C++ Software Engineer – London – £70k – Trading

My client are looking for an C++ Software Engineer to join their high performing team who are working on cutting edge platform for the Trading sector. Due to the success of the company, they are looking to expand the team and being a start-up you will be getting in at ground zero on this journey with them.

The main skills needed for this role are:

• Commercial C++ development experience,
• Preferably working on low-latency systems,
• OOP,
• Toolchains,
• templating,
• OpenMPI, OpenGL, CUDA and the parallel programming paradigm.
• Familiarity with mathematical libraries would be beneficial (BLAS, LAPACK…)

Additional Skills:

• Scripting with Python, Cython, packaging
• Experience with code profiling (valgrind, pdb, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity…
• Experience with trading systems/exchanges is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Maths skills would be useful.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the business.
• Knowledge of software design and development

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the general design, architecture, and the implementation.
• Work with the whole team to propose, assess and specify new product features.
• Contributing to all phases of software development lifecycle
• Writing well-designed, efficient, and testable good quality code
