Auto Coding Engineer – £67k – Oxfordshire

Due to our continued growth, Our Aerospace client is looking for Auto Coding Engineer to join their Flight Software team in Oxfordshire. You will provide expert software engineering support to the Flight Software, GNC and CV teams converting existing algorithms, integrating them into the onboard flight software framework and validating their performance.

Auto Coding Engineer – Responsibilities

• Conversion of algorithms from Matlab/Simulink into C using auto code generation tools.
• Support integration of converted algorithms into the onboard Flight Software framework.
• Validate the performance of the algorithms.

Auto Coding Engineer – Essential Skills

• Strong skills using Matlab/Simulink auto code generation tools.
• Proficient in Matlab/Simulink good practices and algorithm optimisation.
• Experience setting up Matlab/Simulink HIL/PIL testing frameworks.
• Experience in signal processing/algorithm development.
• Solid background in software development in C for real-time embedded systems.
• Knowledge of coding standards for safety critical systems (MISRA-C)
• Experience with unit and integration testing.

Desirable Skills

• Experience setting up automated CI/CD frameworks for Matlab/Simulink code generation
• Experience setting up Matlab/Simulink frameworks for high-scale parallel simulations.
• Knowledge of principles of tracking and estimation.
• Knowledge of control and navigation algorithms.
• Experience of PowerPC or SPARC V8 and RTEMS or VxWorks
