Electronics Design Engineer – £50k – Hybrid Working

My client is one of the UK’s most innovative companies and one of the UK’s largest privately owned electronics manufacturers. They are a leading technology solutions provider offering a comprehensive range of vertically integrated design and manufacturing solutions tailored to meet their client’s highly diversified business requirements.

Due to the continued success of the company my client is searching for an Electronics Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing electronic products for a variety of major OEMs.

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will have designed products for manufacture, accustomed to working to deadlines and able to communicate with customers in an eloquent and professional manner. You will be self-managing and highly motivated with a methodical, analytical approach and a willingness to work to existing design ethics and style.

• Extensive experience of Electronics Hardware Design from concept through to production
• Excellent analytical and problems solving skills combined with knowledge and experience of a wide range of electronic technologies and products.
• Demonstrable skills in the authoring of key technical documentation and reports

Essential Skills needed for this role:

• Experience of working in a relevant commercial design environment
• Mixed Analogue and Digital Design with Microcontrollers
• Schematic Capture
• Highly Developed Structured Approach to Design
• Good technical writing and documentation experience
• FMEA and problem-solving techniques.
• Approvals and Validation
• Manage project timing.
• Full driving licence (you may be required to support on customer sites)

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Switched Mode Power Supply Design
• Microprocessors 8, 16, 32, 64 Bit.
• Good understanding of EMC design requirements
• Programming Experience: Visual Basic, Windows Programming, C, Assembler, Software, FPGA Firmware
• Version Control
• Communications Protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB, CAN/Ethernet Diagnostics
