Hardware Engineer (Electro-Mechanical) – £65k/£55 per hour (Outside IR35) – Manchester

The role may include, but not be limited to the following activities:

• To carry out general engineering tasks as required by the business.
• With the support of other members of the team, carry out more specialised electrical and electronic design tasks associated with design for the sub sea environment.
• Share their knowledge and experience with other members of the team.

The Hardware Engineer (Electro-Mechanical) focus will be:

• Packaging of electronics and associated cabling.
• Network Design / Programming.
• Use of PCB schematical design tools (cadence desirable)
• Designing for platform installation. Ship / submarine.
• Providing support to the preparation of design requirements.
• Preparation of system and sub system production test specs.
• Use of simulation tools to analyse and predict performance of designs.

Nice to have skills of the Hardware Engineer (Electro-Mechanical):

• Digital and Analogue Electronic Design.
• Designing to meet EMC requirements.
• Interconnection Design.
• Power supply design experience.

Permanent:

• Salary £35,000 – £65,000 (depending on Candidate Experience) + Benefits
• UK citizenship is mandatory to be able to clear the background checks and obtain SC clearance
• Current valid SC clearance would be an advantage
