Role and Responsibilities of the Principal GPU Hardware Verification Engineer:
This is a unique opportunity to exercise your hardware verification expertise on cutting-edge designs within their world-renowned graphics division. You will be working on key components that meet the latest demands and improvements for graphics, AI, and connectivity processors.
- Take full responsibility for delivery of all verification activities related to GPU components or sub-systems from early planning stages through to final sign-off
- Create comprehensive verification plans and develop/maintain UVM testbench components
- Track and report verification metrics to ensure successful closure
- Participate actively in all stages of design specification definition, providing valuable feedback from the verification perspective
- Develop sophisticated testbenches in UVM, write tests, sequences, functional coverage, assertions, and verification plans
- Define, estimate effort, and track your own work with full ownership and accountability
- Influence and advance the company’s GPU verification methodology
- Lead, coach, and mentor other team members, fostering professional development
- Participate in design and verification reviews and recommend strategic improvements
The main skills needed for the Principal GPU Hardware Verification Engineer role are:
- Proven track record of developing verification environments for complex RTL designs
- Excellent understanding of constrained-random verification methodology and the challenges of verification closure
- Confidence in defining verification requirements and designing effective testbenches
- Expertise in root-cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Highly desirable skills for the Principal GPU Hardware Verification Engineer:
- Experience with wider verification technologies, including formal property-based verification and code mutation
- Knowledge of GPU architectures and graphics processing workflows
- Understanding of AI and machine learning processing requirements
- Experience with advanced verification tools and methodologies
- Background in semiconductor IP development
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary £100,000 – £130,000 per annum (Salary depends of experience and skillset bring to the role)
