DSP Engineer (C, Firmware, Audio, Real-Time) – £70k – London

My client are looking for an DSP Engineer (C, Firmware, Audio, Real-Time) to join their exciting start-up who are working on cutting edge projects in Voice Communication.

Due to the success of the company, they are looking to expand the team considerably in 2022 and this DSP Engineer (C, Firmware, Audio, Real-Time) will be an integral part of the Embedded team, and heavily involved in the Algorithmic Development, Filtration, code review at the start and once up to date be fully in charge of all the firmware related activities within the team including planning out the full project and be involved and vocal in hardware Schematic conversations.

My client are looking for an DSP Engineer (C, Firmware, Audio, Real-Time) who is confident and has the ability to take full ownership.

Main Responsibilities

  • Research and model DSP firmware for dynamic noise cancellation and audio filtering.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the DSP firmware for the communication modules.
  • Work with electrical and firmware engineers to ensure proper integration and user testing.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with common DSP chipsets and embedded programming.
  • Experience in noise or echo cancellation.
  • Experience in building real-time embedded systems
  • Independent with good communication and team working skills.

“Nice to have” Skills

  • 2+ years of industry experience in audio DSP applications.
  • Understanding of Data Acquisition and Digital Signal Processing theory for audio applications.
  • Previous experience in wireless voice communication projects.
  • Previous experience working with a technology start-up.
  • Experience with DSPIC and/or Qualcomm chipsets.

Salary available:

  • Up to £70,000 per annum

The role offers flexible working on avg 2 days a week at home – when creating your code you are able to do this from home but when you need to be working on the product/hardware itself this work will naturally need to be in the office.
