Director of Sales – Semiconductor IP Licensing – $333k – $400k OTE – (US)
My client’s commercial team is looking to add a Director of Sales to drive licensing activity across the US, working with Tier 1 semiconductor and electronics customers to deliver growth across GPU, CPU, AI and Compute IP product lines.
As well as working closely with the internal Segment, Marketing and Engineering teams based in the US, you will also collaborate with global colleagues across multiple disciplines to ensure customer success.

Director of Sales Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for US Tier 1 semiconductor and electronics customers
- Manage the complete licensing sales cycle — from pipeline development and proposals through to negotiation and contract closure
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, clearly communicating value at both technical and commercial levels
- Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships across engineering, product and commercial functions
- Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences and industry events, maximising new and existing customer opportunities
- Provide internal feedback on customer requirements, competitor positioning and market trends to influence strategy
- Ensure CRM (Salesforce) data is accurate and up to date, providing clear reporting on pipeline, forecasting and business activity
Director of Sales Essential Skills:
- Demonstrable track record in semiconductor IP licensing, ideally to Tier 1 organisations
- Ability to influence and build relationships with senior/executive stakeholders
- Strong technical grounding — understanding of SoC / ASIC design and development processes is highly desirable
- AI at the Edge / Edge AI experience is of interest
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident at bridging technical and business conversations
- Strategic selling experience with long and complex sales cycles
- Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- Proactive, driven, and commercially astute with the ability to close high-value deals
- Flexibility to travel regularly to US client sites
Salary and Package:
- Competitive Basic Salaries Ranging From $200–$240k Base
- Commission Ranging From $133–$160k
